I’ve had an idea for a long time – even made vague efforts to make it real. And this week I had a highly productive lunch with a friend who can supply or connect with all the missing ingredients. So this is now happening. Environmentally valuable, safe for children and less expensive than its competitors. Consistent with my mission – to inspire and empower people to live fulfilled lives in harmony with the earth. Obviously you’ll hear of what’s happening --- Don’t know if I’ve told you about another blog I have – It’s a daily Creativity Journal
I had an insight into something today. We can do anything by ourselves – might take some learning or practicing time – but we can do it by ourselves. And some we do - and some we don’t. How come? Do we choose? How?
That’s part of what forms our comfort zone. And part of what stirs our economy – having more and more of what we don’t have to do for ourselves… We’ll buy those things.
All great deeds and all great thoughts have a ridiculous beginning. Great works are often born on a street corner or in a restaurant's revolving door.
The two important things I did learn were that you are as powerful and strong as you allow yourself to be, and that the most difficult part of any endeavor is taking the first step, making the first decision.
The distance is nothing; it's only the first step that is difficult.
Marquise du Deffand
Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.
First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.
The media try to speak my future –
They speak a present not present in my life.
wars I do not fight.
fights I do not judge.
concerns that don’t concern me
and they speak worries and cares
that I do not worry or care about –
They speak about another’s world
They speak people into a false being.
inflate the unimportant
to bracket their messages of sales.
And their barrage of banality
tries to speak my future
How they blare their blather
muddies the water where I swim
and pollutes the air I breathe.
They speak the new language –
They bibble and flurp
and I am surrounded by their chittering
and the parroting of their unwitting pets
and I suffocate
in their ever-accumulating mindlessness
that seemingly define the boundaries of my path
Breathe deeply. Deeply. Aaaah!
